Fresh Acres Frequently Asked Questions

Our sunflower fields generally bloom in late summer and early fall. Exact bloom dates vary each year depending on planting dates, weather and growing conditions.Follow Fresh Acres on Facebook for current bloom updates and opening announcements.

When the sunflowers are in bloom, the fields are generally open sunrise to sunset, seven days a week.Because the fields are on a working farm, rain and field conditions can occasionally require us to close temporarily. Check our Facebook page before visiting if the weather has been wet or questionable.

The Fresh Acres sunflower fields are located at 8102 72nd St NE, Monticello, MN 55362.For GPS directions, search for “Fresh Acres Fall Festival.”Please do not navigate to “Fresh Acres Farm” near Jason Avenue. That is a residential address used for farm-related sales and is not the location of our sunflower fields or Fall Festival.

During the sunflower-only season, admission is $8 per person ages 4-69. All other ages are free. Payment can be made with cash at the red ticket stand or by Venmo or Cash App using the QR codes at the stand.Once the Fall Festival opens, regular Fall Festival admission applies and includes access to the sunflower fields while they remain in bloom. Yes! Guests are welcome to take photos while visiting the sunflower fields, and photographers are welcome to use the fields for photo sessions. Regular sunflower-field admission applies to everyone entering the property.

During the sunflower-only season, the sunflower fields are the only Fresh Acres attraction open to guests. Our Fall Festival activities are not available until the Fall Festival season begins.Please do not enter or use Fall Festival attractions while visiting during sunflower-only season.

Food and beverages are not available for purchase during the sunflower-only season. You are welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks; we just ask that you take all trash with you when you leave.Food vendors are available on select dates during the Fall Festival. Yes! Leashed dogs are welcome in the sunflower fields. Please keep your dog under control at all times and clean up after your pet.Fresh Acres is a working farm and our own dogs may also be present on the property.
